VS 10 Movie Wizard - Slideshow Duration to Music Not Working

Post by gr8vette »

I think there is a bug when trying to set your slideshows to the duration of the music in VS 10 Movie Wizard. I have the following set:

- Smart Pan and Zoon
- Fit to background music tempo and duration

But, if my song is too short, the song repeats and if the song is too long, the slides repeat.

I know this is not how it is supposed to work...

Can anyone offer any advice?

Hi Gr8vette,

I was able to reproduce the problem, however I noticed that when I chose the last option, AND add another music file, that the music did not repeat and it did not repeat the slides. The other 2 options did cause either the slides or the music to repeat.

The only workaround would be to Edit in VS and manually adjust the music (either adding more, deleting) or adjusting the duration of your slides.

Ron, thanks for the help. I am new to VS10, coming from iMovie on a Mac.

Can you elaborate on the abobe? Are you saying that you choose fit to tempo and duration, and then you add 2 songs, and it worked?

I did just realize that I can save the Wizard and open it in VS10 editer... So that at least offers some home of fixing the problem until a fix is released.

Ulead Tech Support - Ugggg

Post by gr8vette »

Well, I call Ulead Tech Support about this problem today. Explained it in detail. The guy didn't ask me ANY questions, put me on hold, and then came back and said he would send the issue to the tech guys. No offer to diagnose, help, or offer work-arounds. No offer to call me back. When I asked if I should expect a reply, he basically said no.

Nice.

I grilled him on if he would acknowledge this as a problem, if a patch would be released, etc...

Nothing.

I might have to use the 30 day return policy on this one ... Is this typical for their customer service?

No I used Fit to background music tempo. The others result in as you described, music or images repeating.

I can't answer the question about tech support. I have never called, so any knowledge of that is based on what I have read here..
