"Import" button greyed out when selecting Import D

Post by Paulie »

Hello,

I've just installed VS9 SE DVD that came with my ADS Tech DVD Express 2 converter.

I captured my VHS tape to DVD and everything went flawlessly. I want to convert all my VHS tapes to get rid of my VCR and it is working great.

Now that I have a bunch of new DVD's I made, I'm trying to import footage from them and make a custom video.

When I import the DVD, I can play the DVD in the preview window, but the import button is greyed out.

I really don't want to have to keep the original MPEG2 files in addition to the ones I actually put on DVD just to make a custom DVD.

Can anyone help me with this? Is this function not a part of VS9 SE DVD, and only in the full version?

To import from DVD/DVD-VR:
1. Click the Capture Step then click Import from DVD/DVD-VR.

2. Specify the location of the DVD folder in the Browse for folder window then click OK.

3. In the Import DVD window, select which DVD tracks to import in Label. Use the preview screen to view the selected tracks to import.

4. Click Import to finish. All imported videos will be added to the thumbnail list in the Library.

Steve,

I'm doing exactly that. Except in step 4, the "Import" button is not selectable...it's greyed out. It's weird because the video plays in the preview window and everything...but I can't click on the "Import" button to actually import it.

Do you know if I have to have the full version for this to work? I'm using VS9 SE DVD.

Thanks again for your help.

The trial version should import DVD files. Are you clicking the little boxes next to the list of chapters that have been detected on the DVD to make them selected for import?

Wow, I really feel like an idiot. I was not clicking on the little box to actually select it. I was clicking on the actual text, and it would play on the preview window, but the button was greyed out.

I didn't even see the little box to the left of it. I only noticed the + to the left of the text, until I saw your reply, and of course there is a box you can check. How in the world did I miss that?

Thank you so much sir. Now I can archive all my VHS tapes to DVD, and then use those DVD's to create a custom video at a later time!

Awesome!
