No. It comes with Version 3 SE. Version 3 didn't support dual layer, and the SE (OEM) versions have additional (unknown?) limitations. The good news is, you can get Movie Factory 5 for the upgrade price if you own the SE version.

FYI - If you haven't purchased a Hauppauge card yet:
The Hauppauge cards are MPEG only. MPEGs are not meant to be edited. If you don't edit, you will be OK, but if you edit, you can get all kinds of problems... Like the 'lip-sync" problem that inspired my "signature" below.

If you plan on editing your captured videos, get a capture card that can capture to AVI/DV. Or, you can get a special-purpose MPEG editor to use along with WinTV and Movie Factory. (A special-purpose does not eliminate all of the problems... You always loose some quality with any edits that require the MPEG to be decoded and re-coded.)

No time to think.

Out of... sync.[/i]

Hi,
At the bottom of the ulead forum web page are tutorials.
I think this excellent one may be of interest to you.

Your version of MovieFactory may look different but the workflow is basically still the same and you can get a nice ideas and tips from the tutorial.
Why go down the same road someone else has traveled.
Most users of your capture card capture within the wintv software and import the videos into MF.

Hope this helps,

MD
