Hi all, I am new to PI. I am using it to design a web page for my Dad. I have some HTML background so I'm not a total loser. But here's my problem. I have got the basics done , button bar for links across the top of page and I have created five pages in total. On each one I have sliced each button and used the image map tool from the toolbar link to put in a local URL. When I preview it in IE the links work great.... but only one time. I can click on each button and go to the correct page but after it takes me to the new page when I try to click a button again to go to another page it doesn't work, there is no link at all. I have to use the browser back button and then magically all the links work again, but only once. I have created seperate files on my hard drive for each page and have in them saved both my .ufo and .htm files for each page, obviously I guess or it wouldn't work in the browser it appears at all.
Any suggestions on what I may have overlooked or could be doing wrong? I expect that the links should work all the time in preview, not just once.
Thanks

Hi Jdy, and welcome to the forums,
This is just a guess, but when you created your other pages, did you also create links for those buttons? I say this because using your back button on the browser is taking you back to the page the works. Unless you are using Frames, where your Navigation Page stays the same, then each page you have created , needs to have the links established for the buttons. I don't think they are carried over.. Just a possibilty that came to mind..

Thanks for input
Yes I did put links on the other pages, but I got it fixed last night. What appeared to be the issue is that I had used the object?? menu image map which covered each button with a red color and set up the links that way, then I discovered the image map tool from the toolbox and used that as well, thinking that I needed them both. So what I did is simply erase all the links and start over with only the image map toolbox and go through each one again. This time it worked. I'm not sure what the red colored one does in lieu of the gold colored one that you get using the image map toolbox??? But anyhow it workes now.
Thanks for your feedback, I will be back again if I have more issues.
