What do save as for DVD usage?

Ok, here is my problem. I am creating a video for school using 9.0, and i have had trouble saving and recording to a DVD. I have had two people try to burn the file to the DVD but some of the times only the video showed up with no audio. But it never worked completely. I dont know if i am missing something easy, but any help would be appreciated.

What should i save the file as to be able to burn to a DVD and is there more than one file i need to burn to the DVD?
