Titles in edit board in VideoStudio9

I am trying to figure out how to put a title on a black screen in front of the picture scenes, in other words blackscreen/title then scene without title across subject. Can anyone help?

just drag a black color block from the 'color' library down in front of your video in the timeline - your video will move automatically to make room for it - set the 'duration' to whatever you like and create a text title to go over it.

Open the Color library and drag the black onto your timeline, in front of the clip you are referring to. It will automatically move everything over for you (if you have something in the audio or overlay tracks you may want to turn on Ripple Editing so they stay locked to your video clip). Now with the Jog Slider positioned over the black clip, click on Title and type away! Click on Animation (or the TT, depending on what version you have) to add fades, turns, etc. to your title.
