refuses to burn second layer?

after four or five attempts, i still cannot get the second layer of my dual layer dvds to burn. everything burns fine, but when it is played in my dvd player, it freezes at the second layer.

Do they play in the computer?

Have you tried the dvd's in other dvd players?

What brand dvd+R dual-layered dvd's are you using?
What Name & model burner?
and what is the speed you are burning them at?
