why the video file is displaying in slow motion in vs 10+

I try to make the point.

I'm using Pinnacle for video editing and I've bought Ulead to make more professional editing.

The system is ok (defragmented, one fisical disk dedicated to acquisition, one fisical disk for editing).

Disks trasfer rates are among 40-70Mb/sec

The pro player is a Panasonic DV10000, directly connected to the PC by firewire.

No problem with Pinnacle in acquiring (both DV and MPG2).

Problems in Ulead acquiring (DV only). The acquired clip (single AVI file) plays as it was in SLOW MOTION when you play it as a clip (both in Ulead and in other players).
If you put it on the timeline and you play the project, speed is ok.

The clip parameters are ok (look at my posts below).
The project parameters are ok (same as clip).

I've tried to change the DV codec (from Ulead to Panasonic one) with no results.

The problem is that, if I use only Ulead for capturing/editing, I'll have avi files/scenes not usable for normal playing because of the wrong base speed.

Any ideas? And sorry for my English :)

why the video file is displaying in slow motion ?

dear sir
hi
i think i found another way and it is working with me.
in 'vs8'
i uesd to trim the clips in the time line & the n to save them in the Seprate folder I press clips then save trimmed clips
But this way is not working in vs10+
So pls try the following
1- Do the same trimming that you want for the video
2- You will end up with the clips that you wanted them
3- Drag the entire clips in the time line to dialog, which shows the icons of clips in the same page.
4- Keep one trimmed clip in the time line at a time
5- Press share
6- Create video file and then press ok the output will not come in slow motion. This way you will not have a problem I think but you have to each trimmed clips and press share to save it.
7- If you leave them all .the out put will all clips as one video out put.
8- Thanks to all

cesare250495,

I'm at a loss. Do the clips you capture in Pinnacle play in Video Studio under the circumstances that those captured in Ulead do not?

It sounds to me like it is something with Ulead Video Studio but I can't think of a setting that could cause this.
Now using Adobe Premiere and Photoshop

Yes, DV clips from Pinnacle work correctly in VS and in other players.

It's a strange matter, I'm at loss too.

I will capture in MPG2, but I'm afraid about OOS issues.

Open to new ideas, anyway.

Just to go deep in the matter, I've analized with Gspot two avi files.
One (playing slow) captured with VS.
One (playing right) captured with Pinnacle.

They use DIFFERENT DV Codec for the file.

VS uses a not identified codec, and the stream is "Multipart OpenDML AVI".
This file plays slow in every player.
Gspot can't gain other infos (runtime, bitrate, etc.).

Pinnacle uses DVSD codec (named DVC/DC Video), the stream is "OpenDML AVI" and plays correct in every player.
Gspot gains other infos correctly (runtime, bitrate, etc.).

For deep details, I can send BIN file with details. Just ask to info@margas.it.

Still trying to get a solution.... :-/
