What is the upgrade policy?

Post by jbarr »

I just purchased the 8 to 9 upgrade in January, and now, we're up to v10? Another $50+? Isn't there some sort of "grace period"?

Thanks!

Hi Jim, and welcomet to the forums,

You can sure try. However there have been others that upgraded just a day or two before that had the same issue. I don't believe Ulead has such a policy in place currently.

An inquiry to Ulead customer support resulted in this:

"For users who bought the previous version or UVS 9 from Ulead mall(ulead.com) within the less 30 days of the release date of VideoStudio 10 (04/20/2006), we could arrange a refund so you could purchase this latest version of the program. Or, might give you the download link for the copy of our VideoStudio 10 installer for free. However, this service requires the related purchase receipt."

Ulead support was very accommodating to me, exemplary of their continued great service.

I've been using Video Studio since v7, have recommended it on my "ReplayTV to DVD" Web page, and find it far more useful and stable than most other applications I have used in this price range.
