Video Studio 10 AMD Atlon XP2 GE Force 6600

Capture window only shows every other 15 frames or so. Yet the captured footage is accurate to the frame. Does anyone know how to make the capture window show real time capture? Again this is an AMD Athlon Dual Core CPU with an ASUS montherboard and 2 Gb RAM. The OS is WinXP SP2.

I don't know specifically, but I do recall reading that turning off one core solves capture problems in a lot of NLE softwares. Maybe worth a try.

1. Run Windows Update to make sure you have picked up an update to the AMD processor driver for the X2 CPUs that came out after SP2. You can also pick it up on the AMD website.

2. Try adding the /usepmtimer switch to the operating system options in your BOOT.INI file.

Thank you very much for the info. I will try these options and let the forum know the results.
