After several attempts I have been unable to get any videoclips rendered by VS9 for the Sony PSP to actually be recognized by the PSP itself.
Am I missing a necessary CODEC or update? I believe that I've downloaded and installed all available updates.
PSP plugin compatability?

Hi, and welcome to the forums,
Have you downloaded and installed the MPEG4 plug-in? It can be downloaded here:

NOTE Make sure you disable all pop-up blockers, and firewall.. If you don't then you will have problems downloading these plug-ins...

I had downloaded all available updates and plugins for VS9 at time of purchase.
After I made my post yesterday I remembered that with the Sony PSP, the video files need to have that "odd" file naming sequnce. An example being " M4V00001" followed by the " .MP4 ". Unfortunately, after trying that the files still aren't recognized. They're actually listed on the PSP as being either corrupt or unrecognizable. I'm only glad that this plugin was free or I'd be a little salty with these results after paying $29.99 USD. This is not really a big deal as I have 2 other software packages that will convert videoclips into a recognizable format for the PSP. I was just looking to save some extra steps is all.
Note*
The files recognized by the PSP are .MP4 and the files generated by the PSP plugin are .mp4
