Hi people. I apologise if this has come up previously.
I will explain my problem in the format stated by someone else:
Nature of the problem: Once I install Ulead VideoStudio 8 SE, i get the following message when I click the DVD format in the capture section
"Can not select capture format what you want.
An error occurred while checking the support format."
Following this, my preview window (which shows video) turns green.
I have captured many videos in the past with no problems.

Several observations. First, even the full retail box version of Video Studio 8 was full of bugs, some of which were never resolved, so the SE version of VS8 will undoubtedly suffer the same way. Have you tried customizing the capture properties and settings? If VS8 doesn't like your DVD settings, try creating a full resolution MPEG2 720 X 480 capture setting and see if it will accept that. My advice though, upgrade to either VS9 or VS10.

I will give your suggestions a go. It's weird as I haven't had any problems in the past
I have been playing around with it works every now and then. Very infrequent problem (but only started recently).
Perhaps I need to upgrade or try something else. Bummer though, as I have been happy with the program
Thanks
