That lot looks like a font named wingdings.
Try copy/paste that lot into a text editor such as Notepad, Wordpad or Microsoft Word.

This in itself may identify the font. If not select all the text and then alter the font to something like Arial or times New Roman and see if it is now readable.

It's a print! How do you imagine to copy this in notepad?

Its a print of what?
I thought you had taken a screen dump of something and printed that off.
When and how do these hieroglyphics appear?

Please have a look at my first post of this thread. The error message has the possibility to print further information. This results in the Wingding 'message'.

and THAT is what I am suggesting that you copy and paste into a text editor.

Again, it is a PRINT.
I scanned it, made a .jpg and posted a fragment.
But I can't past a .jpg in a texteditor.

I have seen printouts appear like this at my workplace and the cure was to turn off the power to the printer, turn it back on again and then print.

Have you checked your windows XP event log for error messages
START | RUN dialog box
%SystemRoot%\system32\eventvwr.msc /s
and press enter.
Now check the following two folders
Application
System

You will find a red circle with a white cross inside. Double click to open it and there you will find a link
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
This link also contains some hidden code apertaining to your error.
Double click and you will then be given more detailed information and possible cures.

I do not think it's a Ulead error message because I never see it in any Ulead products.

If there is no device in your system, DVDMF should still start OK because it would let you add video files and burn to disk image files. I doubt why you got the message.

You said the message appeared when you start Windows XP, but DVDMF will not be in the memory when Windows XP starts. I would doubt the error message is coming from other softwares that belong to some other company, or maybe the system have got a virus infected. I think you need to make some checks.

Hope this helps.

Dick,
You've probably given up but the message is using the wrong fonts to display the text. It's a text message using the wrong font.

IF you can highlighted the text with the mouse do so and while holding down the Control key <Ctrl> then hit the "C" key to copy the text into the computers memory buffer.

Then open up "NotePad" and select from the toolbar "Edit -Paste".
Maybe then the text will be displayed in the correct font.
If the text still comes up in the wrong font then while in notepad select all the text and change the font using the toolbar fonts selection.
