Ulead 9 shuts down after loading

I have just recently encountered a problem with Ulead 9.
I open up my project .VSP , after everything loads up, I hit the play button, or drag the needle to a spacific spot and the whole program shuts off and I am back at my XP desktop.
I get no error message.. I have not installed any new programs.
I put the Ulead 9 install disk in, clicked "repair" and let it overwrite or do whatever repair does.. seems to happen after I am playing around with audio files or video files on my pc .
I used to be able to go back/forth with my project open, edit some .wav files, put them in, take them out, in other words, really max my pc and the program without any glitch. Now I seem to have to reboot after some heavy audio or video playing[ on AOL] which takes place with ulead closed 1st.
anyone else ever have a problem of it shutting down within a few seconds after loading? I have 1 gig memory/2.8 processor.

well, I just ran my pc thru the mill with audio, video, streaming etc and Ulead doesn't shut down so I guess low memory is not a problem nor a bad video card..
I will try to find what causes it when it happens unless someone else gets the same glitch now/then...
