Hi,
I'm using MovieFactory 4. I tried opening my project file but received an error message "Project Initialization failed". Any idea how I can solve this?
I've been working on the project for quite a while now but don't know what caused it to fail. I've got no problems opening my other project files
though.
Any kind soul, pls help ...

Please tell us something about your file format, and how you captured it. The Read This First... post at the top of the forum tells you what we need to know in order to help you.
All of my "weird" problems have been caused by corrupt source-video files, or by editing MPEGs. (Sometimes a corrupt file will play-back OK, and MPEGs aren't really supposed to be edited.)

I have installed all of the maintenance for the DVD MovieFactory 4.0 software on my Windows XP machine.
Nature of the problem:
After creating a project, working on it for weeks, adding new slideshow pictures and music, I am now unable to open a slideshow project. It is a specific project because I am able to open other projects with no problem.
Properties of your source files:
The slideshow pictures are JPEG. The DVD MovieFactory 4.0 project file is 1934 KB in size.
What devices are involved and their mode of connection?
Hard drive device is only device involved.
Project Settings:
The default project settings I have used for all of the slideshows I have createdL
MPEG files
24 bits, 720 x 480, 29.97 fps
(DVD-NTSC), 4:3
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 7000 kbps)
Audio data rate: 256 kbps
Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 2/0(L,R)
Output format (file, DVD, VCD, SVCD)
File has extension of ".dwz"
PAL or NTSC: NTSC
Error Codes (if any):
