Arrived, installed and working well

Post by TDK1044 »

My copy arrived yesterday and I installed it last night. Everything works really well so far. I had to uninstall Roxio off my system because of a conflict between that software and Video Studio, but other than that, no problems so far. I captured a 30 minute file at MPEG 2 720X 480, edited it, added filters, audio layers and titles, rendered it and burnt it. The end result was perfect. Long may it continue!!

Have you tried the surround sound feature? I'd be interested to know if the 5.1 works well.

I played with it for a few minutes, and certainly the audio could be panned to create a different sound perspective, and the sound sounded good, but as I'm not going to be using the surround sound that much, I didn't persue it.

Same here. Installed flawlessly in about 15 minutes. But, when I tried to use it - no sound. Couldn't get sound from and VideoStudio clips, SmartSound, even newly captured clips. So I shut down VideoStudio, restarted and, tada, had sound. Works great now. Even loaded a project previously started in VS9, added some newly captured clips, did some editing 8)

One thing I didn't check was where VS10 stores the large file it creates after the audio/video multiplexing just prior to the burn. Those are large files and I don't want them sitting on my system eating up my memory. Can anyone remember the folder address?

Certainly shouldn't be on your system drive if you've designated an alternate in Prefs.
