Scroll one slide at a time?
I wish to scroll through one slide at a time and not have them display automatically. Can I make separate folders so that the viewer has a choice of slides to view such as: London slides, New York slides etc?

What you're looking for is more along the lines of a PowerPoint presentation wherein the presentation can be manually controlled during playback. Slideshow software programs do not have that capability.pledden wrote:I wish to scroll through one slide at a time and not have them display automatically. You can add as many individual slideshows (New York, London, etc.) as you want (each with it's own menu icon and text title) however there is no way to manually pause your sildes except by using the remote control of your DVD player while viewing. That said, it IS possible to specify a default duration for ALL sides or individally on a "per slide" basis however once the show has been burned to disc, these values are integrated into the show and cannot be changed. If desired, you can also specify a preference to return to the main menu at the conclusion of each show rather than have all the shows automatically play in sequence.
The only alternative that comes to mind would be to create a number of individual slideshows, each consisting of only one slide with a very long duration. Unfortunately this would generate a rather large multi-page menu which would likely be confusing and unwieldy.
If you're using the "trial" version be aware that each show will be limited to 10 slides.
Hope that answers your question

Thank you very much for taking the trouble to reply. I have been experimenting and 'PAUSE' on the DVD Player is the only way to achieve that. Also, splitting the slideshow is achieving the different folder problem. Another question, regardless of format and size of the originals does the programme convert all slides to a similar format and size before burning to disc? Thank you again.

I'm using the standard USA NTSC 4:3 format as an example but the basic idea would apply to any format:
As for a specific conversion format, before a slideshow is burned to DVD, I believe PS4 creates a DVD compliant MPEG file of your presentation which is used by the integrated burning engine. There is also an option to include folders containing copies your original content on the DVD. This content is not used during playback but can be accessed via computer for other purposes. The program also gives you the option to output your presentaion as a video file (excluding menu), ISO image file, or DVD VOB folders for use with other applications and/or 3rd party burning software.
As for sizing, if you enable the "Fit To Screen" option, by deafult, PS4 will upsize or downsize ALL your images to fit the 720x480 screen format while maintaining the original aspect ratio.
If you disable the "Fit To Screen" option, PS4 will still downsize images that are larger than 720x480 to fit the screen but images smaller than 720x480 will be displayed at their actual resolution and will not fill the screen.
You can preview your show both ways before burning to disc.. Keep in kind that when low res images are upsized to fit the screen you will usually see image distortion (pixelation). The larger the viewing screen, the more noticable.
