Checked the site out and emailed them. They are very good about answering, unfortunately it is a little more than I want to pay. Like I say I can understand, but there must be a few sites out there with uncopyrighted music or public domain music that isn't copyrighted.
kind of like a mp3 site saying free downloads, or free service.
Guess I need to learn to play the piano
oh for the simplier things in lfe
I didn't post the link in the previous post. I was commenting that it really wasn't free if you read the tos, and had contacted them. Was basically inquiring to those have used Video Studio longer than I, if they have come across something free or less expensive. Already contacted ulead on fairuse of there music files. One reason I have my email addess available (I think). The link was in a previous post in the thread from someone else...
Though I do understand the need to be careful about posting links, especially if it says "free" Though I don't think I have posted any links that I recall for anything.
I'm afraid you may have misunderstood Steve's post.
He was only pointing all interested forum users to his series of various links, and expressing that you or anyone could have a useful link added by referring it to him, although the links thread looks officially locked, to prevent abuse.
He was not saying that you posted any link, and we all understood what you were referring to, and you did nothing wrong and nobody said you did.
Still the Freeplay link is perfectly legal and free for personal use,
thus for us all hobbyists, though we understand this is not applicable to your case.
Thanks, the locked was a little confusion. Just been difficult finding things that are within a personal relm of cost. I understand the need to protect intellectual property, and artist rights. When you are trying to do just simple things, you dont feel like paying a high dollar amount, for what I don't really consider a commercial endevour (I msyelf). It might be easier if free, meant exactly that, without purse strings attached.
thanks for the explanation. I did get an explanation (though more confusing) form ulead, though it explained the copyright of the software itself (which includes the music)
