VS10 and Windows Media Player

Post by seahawk9 »

I render a movie and then use WMP to view before DVD burn to check for mistakes etc. I have tried all formats available and still get the same error in WMP when trying to play the rendered file from VS10 HOWEVER the exact same file rendered in VS9 works no problem. The error msg says: Windows Media Player does not detect storage media in the selected device. Insert storage media into the device, and then try again.

These are stills and NOT captured from any device.

I have the latest updates on everything and am using WIN XP PRO 64, Intel Pentium D 940 Presler 800MHz FSB 2 x 2MB L2 Cache LGA 775 Dual Core, EM64T, 4GB mem, X800GT pciE, 4-SATA 300GB, 2-IDE 300GB

any suggestions would be appreciated

What sort of file have you created?
MPG, AVI, WMV etc plus what settings?

Did you use those exact same settings when you created the file using VS9?

which version of Windows Media Player do you have?
The current one is version 10.
