The Trial Download Archive of Videostudio 10 plus is Fake

uvs10_tbyb_(e)_na.exe

Videostudio 10+

Corrupt Archive every time!

Don't waste your time downloading it over and over.
Seems they don't mind misleading the public and getting their bandwidth used up. Pretty lame... doesn't speak well for their product QA.

It seems that Ulead may be having a problem with the file being corrupted. The file could also become corrupt during the download process, which involves the "hopping" from server to server until it reaches your computer.

What is the nature of the corruption, error messages received during the install? By the filename, it appears that you are downloading from the Ulead US/North America webiste, correct?

I have some suggestions you can try if you care to.

1. Disable any antivirus, spyware you have running while installing.
2. Ensure that you have admin rights on the profile you use.
3. If you try to download again, try first to clear your cache, cookies, and temp files.

FWIW, I am currently using the TBYB version while waiting on my boxed version to arrive. I didn't have any issues with download or installing.

Some of those above suggestions have worked for me in the past when I did have problems.

Post by burgo »

VS7 and 8 user looking to upgrade to VS10.

I have now downloaded this four times, with and without a downloader manager, tried to install on two seperate machines and cleared all the temp files etc.

Has anyone got this thing working, recently at least ?

Corrupted exe

Post by burgo »

I did eventually get it working last night, retried previous advice I had read on this forum

right click uvs10_tbyb_(e).exe
extract to c:\temp

and double clicked c:\temp\Program\UVS10\setup.exe

I had already tried this earlier only difference was this time I upgraded quicktime from the apple site first.

Thanks for all those who had a look and hope this help some of you other guys
