Hello,
I got Visual Studio 8 SE with some hardware. It looks like it has everything my previous VS 7 full product had.
What's the difference between the Visual Studio 8 SE and just Visual Studio 8? Should I upgrade to the Version 8?
Thanks!!

I assume you mean VideoStudio.
Impossible to say, all we know for sure is that SE versions have some functions crippled and therefore not available. There are many variations of SE versions and you will only find the limitations on yours by using the programme, one of the most common disablements seems to be the ability to burn Discs, The full version will of course provide you with all the advertised features.

I find that SmartSound is great in VS8 - I'll bet it's not available in the SE version. I've upgraded from VS SE5 through 7 to 8, and find each version is actually considerably better - for a modest price. I used Adobe Premier for some years ina professional DVD production role, and found it difficult for editing because of the hardware quirks. At a fraction of the cost, VS8 is an easy, if not intuitive, product.
Cheers!
