Problem with MediaStudio Pro 7.0 VE

Post by Gary Norton »

I have recently installed this software and find that the Video editor module fails to initialise correctly and ceases to respond. It gets through about 85% of the initialisation but stops when trying to load audio filters. I recall reading somewhere that those filters should be in a particular folder (VIS or something like that) but I cant find such a folder in the program sub-folders. Any help or advice would be most welcome.

By the way, the audio editor and the video capture modules seem OK.

Hi Gary, welcome to the forums..:)

I just so happen to still have MSP 7.0VE installed. So I had a peek and I find the audio filters under the aft_plug folder.

I didn't have any problems with the install, and have not had any problems with the program starting up.

Have you tried a re-install to see if that may iron things out?

I recall this is something to do with a conflict with other audio filters installed on your machine. Remove any other programs you have with audio filters in and see if all is well.

If you do a search on this and other forums, you will find many posts relating this problem and the cure. I believe that it is caused by some third party DX audio filters.
