Hi Ron,

The box version was sent US Mail on May 8th from Elements Distribution Center in MD......Took 9 days to reach me in MA.

Also, the manual is the same size as the CD. You'll need a magnifying glass to read it...I downloaded the manual & printed the 190 or so pages.

Holy Smokes, 9 days to go from Maryland to Mass... So from Maryland to Kansas it will probably take 20 days for mine to arrive.... So I don't look for mine until June 1st...

Knowing you live in Kansas, I'd consult with "OZ" & see if he can intervene. :D :D :D

As a foot note, the bonus cd has just about everything that was included with VS9, so to me it's worthless.

Hope your mailman has a package for you today.........

Sounds frustrating :-)

What's in the boxed version that isn't in the ESD? (besides a printed manual and CDs with nice labels)

I can't afford the boxed version - they want another $33 USD for shipping to Australia (which would probably take about 9 days :-)). The exchange rate is about 0.75 US so that means it would cost me about $45 AUD just to have it shipped - that doesn't include the cost of the upgrade itself (about $80 AUD) - I always purchase the ESD because shipping is just too expensive.

Well this is my First boxed version. All others were ESD, and numerous people posting about not purchasing the ESD, just the box. I also had boasted that I was not going to purchase the ESD next time. Well now see what that got me, I can't seem to win for losing...

I'd also have to agree with an earlier poster. I think it is unconscionable and untenable for someone who actually Beta tested the product, not to have been given a free version of VS10+ in the first place, and a special effort made by Ulead to ensure its Beta testers all got the program immediately on its release!

Well I know I didn't mention it in any earlier posts, but yes this is a complimentary offer from Ulead, for beta testing. Just frustrating that it takes at least 1 month to receive it. I was first told it would be in April, then the last word was "I may receive it by May 20th". So I still have 2 more days. But it's the "may" that concerns me. Also since I haven't had to pay for it, other then my time, I haven't squealed too much about it, until I started seeing everyone getting theirs in a week or less. Now that's starting to bother me...

That explains your problem Ron - you will continually be "bumped" back in the line as long as there is a short supply of boxed sets compared to people paying cash.

My advice is - start discourgaing people on this board from buying the boxed set! :-)

Best of luck mate,
Peter

P.S. Let us know when you finally get yours - that will be a good indicator of when the supply has caught up with demand :-)

I think they should have provided you with a link AND a box version.
The sort of scenario that people who purchase an ESD version are also given the opportunity to obtain a backup CD.

Whats the cost of providing you with a link?
The Beta testers also deserve complimentary copies for their time spent and also the risks involved in corrupting their computer systems.

Here, Here Steven J. I couldn't agree more. Hang in there Ron, your box version will be there soon. If not, all of us will return ours until you get yours... well maybe not that drastic but maybe we should bombard Ulead with a mass emailing to get you your deserved reward.

Hi H.T.

Thank you that is much appreciated. Why I'm concerned is that the dummy mailman we have, will deliver mail to the wrong address. We just received mail that was for a neighbor down the road. So generally when I am to receive a package, and it is late arriving, I get a little concerned.
Thank you again..:)
