VideoStudio9 not reading DVD file

Post by billc »

I have recently purchased Video Studio 9. I also recently purchased a new DVD burner and am trying to make a graduation video for my son. I am using DVD-Ram to transfer from DVD burner to my computer. However, VideoStudio 9 won't read the file. The extension on the file is .ifo

My WinDVD player pops up and plays it fine, but when I try to capture the video I get this error: "Failed to begin VIO playback instance in the import DVD preview module. Report ID: 0x8004095a(2394)"

Is this a problem with VideoStudio or a setting I should cahnge on my DVD burner if possible?

Thanks

As far as I am aware, an .IFO file is only an information file on the DVD. The video itself is stored in . VOB files, so it is those you should be trying to trasnfer (Insert DVD/DVD-VR).
