When I paid for Vs 10 plus on 4/22/06 I also paid for the backup cd. It implied that it would be sent in 3 days. So I still don't have it. Has anyone else got their backup cd sent to them? And another thing I notice is that when I check boxes under preferences in the file menu after a day or so they just randomly go back to whatever they were at first. Maybe this is just because this is the trial version. The trial version will not let me enter my registration code and I don't want to uninstall and reinstall right in the middle of my project although if I had the cd I would probably risk it.

Yes it did! I uninstalled and reinstalled and it seems to work perfectly. I got my whole project done and I was able to make a streaming trailer by using Microsoft's free encoder. Thanks to all the help on this board!! Doug
