Menu Templates

Post by netpro »

Hi everyone, I have a question regarding menu templates in VS10+. I recently downloaded VS10+ TBYB and I like most of the new features, but the menu templates selection is terrible. It is VERY limited. The selection was much better in VS9. Does anyone know if Ulead will have an update for this and other problems related to VS10 in the future?? Thanks

You can import whatever you have in Version 9 into version 10.
Things like transitions:

Things like music and menu backgrounds etc that appear can be linked to their existing location via the Library Manager.

Thanks for your timely reply. However, the folder structure is not the same in VS 9 as it is in VS10. Can you be a little more specific about the procedure to do this ?? Thanks

Yes the folder structure is slightly different - for a start try copying all the .ufo files from C:\program files\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio 9.0\Template\4_3\Classic - to - C:\program files\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio 10.0\Content\Menu Template\4x3\Scene Button

If that works for you then you can copy the contents of the rest of the folders below 'Classic' in V9 into the same 'Scene Button' folder in V10.

but you may not need to go that far for having just installed my copy of V10+ I have to say I have been very pleasantly surprised after moving a few menu templates from V9 into the V10 folders to find that I can customise even the menus from V9 - by that I mean actually move thumbnails around the screen and move and ROTATE all the text (all - including 'My Title') and further you can resize all the thumbnails - all within the 'Create Disc' function of V10+. - this of course in addition to the changing of background image/video and background music. - and then add the new template back into the template 'Gallery' for future use - I think there's more than enough there for me.
