VS 10+ tbyb corruption

Post by gordon_fan_24 »

I have tried to download the trial for VS10+ on two computers, and both times, I get a message telling me that it was corrupt and should be downloaded from another source. What is this other source, I can only find one, and thats the one on the ulead website.

In theory it shouldn't make any difference but if you have an alternative browser such a Firefox or Opera it wouldn't hurt to give it a try. If you're using a 3rd party download manager maybe try turning it off... or perhaps the problem is on Ulead's end. In such cases they usually seem to get things straightened out fairly quickly.

Looks as if Ulead have a problem. I have just downloaded VS 10+ trial and when executed, I get the message, file corrupt, download again.
Sooo glad I've ordered my Boxed Version.

Hi Gordon.

When you click on the FTP SITE you are not given a choice to select one.

I have tried again and on the download save window it displays the file name and the FTP site. This time I noticed I was directed to ftp2, downloaded and executed with no problems.
I'm sorry I did not take any notice of the previous download site attempt.
At least we know one works, have another attempt, its well worth it.

Going to play now, Good Luck.

Interesting ..... i have downloaded quite a few Ulead TBYB and they have all worked fine EXCEPT for this week tried out MS 5 and it downloaded ok, but error when unpacking - so tried downloading again and same error msg - sounds like th same problem with yours, maybe a ULEAD web issue ?

Two other things you can try.

1. My recent Ulead downloads include on the download page a download manager. Try using that.

2. Try a third party download manager such as "Get Right"

I've had the same problem. I've tried downloading it twice. I emailed Ulead product support and got a response that sounds like its probably from somewhere in India. The response didn't even get the product name right!
Hopeless.
Maybe there's some programs that are running in the background that conflicts with the installation program of the purchased Ulead software. Please make sure that you are logon as Administrator and make sure no programs are running before installing the Photo Express 6.

Run "msconfig" and disable all start-up programs, and then try again.

If the problem still persists, please try the software with other machine to see if it works. If it is OK. I would suggest you reinstall your OS, because the trouble always happened in system not stable.

Thank you.

NO!
