Drive not recognised in MF and VS

Post by HP1 »

Hi all apologies for the new topic.

I have been using MF and VS for a while now but all of a sudden when I get to the final page to output the check box for bun to disc and the output button are greyed out? There is a disc in there and I know that the burner works because I can play DVDs and I can burn DVDs in Nero?

Anybody else had this problem? Appreciate any help

Cheers

tried to work it out with ULead Support. They could not figure it out and stopped replying to my inquiries....

good luck

BTW, what type of drive it is? Internal Samsung?

That must be frustrating! I have an internal PIONEER DVD-RW DVD 108.

Do you think an uninstall and reinstall of MF and VS would help, I suppose you already thought of that :O)

i wondered if others were going to face same problem...

yes, neither of my internal drive would be recognized by DMF5. I borrowed a friends external USB 2.0 Drive and it worked fine. To this day I cannot get the internal to work. I bought an external USB 2.0 Drive enclosure and moved one of my drives there just to work around DMF5. It is something to do with the burn engine.... but ULead does not want to answer.

reinstalling did nothing. i completely reinstalled my entire PC at one point, OS and all, and it did not work. moving to external is all that did....

MF and VS version and the media you use please.

Any other burning software installed in your system?

Thanks.

I have 2 Samsung internal drives.

SH-S162L with latest firmware
TS-H552U with latest firmware

I even replaced a drive thinking it might be a problem cause it was an older drive

TS-H552B with latest firmware

I have reinstalled the OS and even tried with just DMF5. Works with 4 just fine but not 5.
