VIDEO STUDIO V10 PLUS

Post by VinMan »

Ok new be to this software but looks great have purchased the plus version. i have a 2nd harddrive and would like to use this as a dedicated drive just for video editing.

In Video Studio what should i change to enable me to use the 2nd drive for this.

And should i only use a pagefile on my C Drive. and not on the D drive too.

 Cheers

I didn't want to advertise this link yet because it is still under construction.
However the part I have reached covers this aspect.

Thanks for the help, ok quick qest, I have Serial ATA (SATA) Drives would i be right inthinking if a moved my pagefile to Drive D: then i should either keep my Video Studio working folders on drive C.

I guess if i put them on drive D as i have my page file there it would slow down the operation of VS!

If the page file was in use (that is)

Cheers

There is a lot of debate about where to place a pagefile, how many pagefiles to have and which drives(s) to place them and is looked at in considerable depth in the link included in my tutorial.

In fact your response is the very reason why I shall be keeping that tutorial locked. It will generate considerable debate and I do not want users to be put off viewing it due to its size. I am convinced this is one of the reasons why many users steer clear of the forums recommended procedure - currently 8 pages long.

I am considering having a seperate thread to act as a discussion about the tutorial - that is once it is finished. In fact I welcome opinions about this idea.
