Hi
First of all what version of video studio are you using?
The Avi files on the Cd-R need to be copied to your computer.
Create a new folder for these files.
The instructions may vary depending on the version you are using
Question 1
Open Video studio
Click the folder lower left, select insert video, browse your hard drive for the Avi file.
The video clip will be inserted into the timeline. This is only a thumbnail and not the actual clip, changing the thumbnail does not change the main Avi.
Question 2
After starting a new project the preview screen should be clear. The clips you see may be in the library. This is ok.. If you click a clip in the library it will be displayed in the preview screen.
You can drag the clips from the library to the timeline.
Question 3
When playing the clips you have two choices, to play the individual clips or to play the project. Playing the project plays all the clips in all the timelines. The word project is highlighted adjacent to the Play/ Start button.
If you click an individual clip then the Clip word will highlight. Only that clip will play.
To change to ‘Project Playback’ click the word ‘Project’ or click the ruler above the timeline, Playback will start from the down arrow.
Hope this Helps
