Hey everyone,
I'm using an ATI PCI capture device, and composite inputs. When I run the ATI multimedia program, I can watch television/vhs with full sound. I have an 1/8th" - 1/8th" line running from the capture card to my line in, and I have recording properties set to record from "line-in". If I record with ATI's multimedia program, i get audio, but as soon as open VideoStudio (v8.01.1000) and put it to capture, I get the video, but no audio. Everything is set up correctly in Windows and in Ulead - basically use the line-in on the audio card, which we already know works when I watch TV with other applications.
Any ideas? I'm starting to go nuts here.
Cheers

I had the samp problem years ago, what you have to do is to enable the line input in the record mode, and make sure that it isn't muted.
Go to Control panel and open Sound and Audio Devices, on the Volume tab pick Advanced. Volume control pick options, properties, recording, OK, pick Line In and what ever else you need, OK. On recording Control Select Line In, make sure the select box has a green check mark in it, if it dosn't you will not get sound.
Check the properties every time you try to record video/audio from your ATI card.
