File Reading Error

Hi Guys

Before I jump from the window, has anybody out there got any ideas?

I've been working on a project for the last week or so and well close to completion when today the programme crashed as I was saving. The last clip I added before this problem was an auto-music file. Now everytime I try to reopen the file I get "File Reading error". I've tried rebooting the whole system, but no luck.

Is this unusual or has anyone faced this before? As you can imagine, I'm having a sense of humour by-pass at the moment as I have an uncomfortable feeling I've got to go back to square 1!

I've just tried using the temporary files that have been back-up and it's bizzare. I can open them and all the clips are there but when you play them back (even after rendering) they bounce back and forward and mix up the clips in playback (i.e. some end clips get mixed into the iopening credits and vice verser), so they are unusable to reclaim my project.

Any ideas?

Try going to where you have parked your temp files and delete them all. Then try reopening the last good back-up.
