Hello,
After placing my avi file into the bar at the bottom screen i can play the clip in the viewing box. However when i want to burn this to a dvd+r the picture doesn't play, only sound. Am i missing a codec? The footage is compressed with divX.
Can anybody help?

First, have you downloaded the mpeg-4 plug-in which is free to registered users of the full version of VS9?
Secondly, are you producing a standard DVD? If so, and you don't have the above plug-in, then be aware that you will need another program to convert a DivX file to the mpeg-2 format needed for a standard video DVD. DivX is of course an mpeg-4 format, and burning mpeg-4 files to a DVD will produce an mpeg-4 DVD, and there are only a handful of DVD players currently on the market which will actually play mpeg-4/DivX DVDs...
