I believe it means that the boxed version release is imminent. They are simply getting the website ready expecting the boxed version at their distribution centers any day. The "out of stock" obviously doesn't mean they've sold out of them. With the rest of the ordering process already updated, once the boxed version becomes available, it will be very simple to change the "out of stock." My 2 cents worth.
BUT WHY ADVERTISE IT IS AVAILABLE WHEN IT IS NOT!

Well, this morning, Ulead.com let me enter my serial number (manually)for the 10+ upgrade before informing me there were none in stock.

Since the "English" version is out of stock..perhaps their are other language versions for some of the readers who can read non-English languages.
And..another observation. Why not open up the sale of the VS10+ boxed version and take our money, then ship it to us when it is available (that would be the gamble..when would it be shipped?). Ulead can charge our credit card payment only upon shipping out the product ?

boxed version

Post by Ilene »

I experienced the same. I was so excited to see this morning that the boxed version was available. I clicked "buy now", input my serial number for the upgrade" and was given the message - "out of stock"..I just went back to the website to check on it again, and the purchase option has once again been replace with "coming soon". This is so frustrating!!!!!!

I just tried again to order upgrade at 2:44PM Arizona time. Still says out of stock. You blokes in the UK have 9 hours on us and must have already grabed the entire inventory...

I'll be getting the upgrade. The Ulead site says we can only get the upgrade version direct from Ulead. I hope all the verification of serial number process is just to show we already own UVS. I'd hope the upgrade and the "full" version were the same exact software. And now I'm wondering if "UPGRADE" will be prominently displayed as the thing starts up, the way a former version used to.

With VS9 I just purchased the upgrade, and it doesn't show "upgrade" anywhere, unlike VS8. So I would believe that the upgrade only applies to the price paid, and does not affect any other aspect of the program...
