Boxed Version Good News/Bad News

Post by Black Lab »

The good news: the Boxed Version is here, the Boxed Version is here :!:
http://www.ulead.com/store/vs/runme.htm

The bad news: when I tried to purchase it I got a message that there weren't any in stock :!:

As George Costanza would say "They're all screwing me!!!!".

Oh well, shouldn't be long now. :?

Were on earth did you see this? I've been checking daily, and it still shows on the USA site, Coming Soon. However it does appear the box version for MF5 is available.

The link is in my original post. I was actually going to go against my own judgement and purchase the download - I just couldn't wait any longer - and lo and behold there it was. But why on earth would you advertise that it's available but not have any in stock. It's not like they're sold out already!

I clicked on your link, which took me to the Ulead Mall, and it still shows the Coming Soon for the box version.

Yes, but if you try to "buy now" the next screen gives you a message saying that the product is out of stock,

in the Ulead Mall click on "add to cart", it takes you to another page
that reads "the following product(s) can not be placed in your shopping
cart for the follwoing reason listed below"
*300067290 Ulead VideoStudio10 Plus (Full/Box). English. the product is not currently in stock"

I for one  am digging in my heels, waiting in my overstuffed chair, drinking beer, until the boxed version comes in...

Well, I have 18 days left on the TBYB, I'm getting this feeling that it will expire before I can get the box....

I phoned the Australian distributor, Lakopacific, today and they said they've just received their supplies and they'll be sent out to retailers tomorrow. I've ordered my upgrade boxed version from a retailer and have been told I should receive it on Friday. :D

I got the same as Black Lab. The full version now says add to cart, but when you do the next page says not in stock. Outstanding, Ulead.

I actually see this (i.e., add to cart but out of stock) as a positive sign. I've noticed things like this with other products. I believe it means that the boxed version release is imminent. They are simply getting the website ready expecting the boxed version at their distribution centers any day. The "out of stock" obviously doesn't mean they've sold out of them. With the rest of the ordering process already updated, once the boxed version becomes available, it will be very simple to change the "out of stock." My 2 cents worth.

That said, I know it's very frustrating since many of us are anxiously awaiting the boxed version and to be teased like this, but keep the faith.
