Hi,
I have some previously created text GIFs that I'd like to superimpose upon one another so that all text appears simultaneously and then generate this as a new single GIF file, but the text GIFs cannot animate sequentially, rather simultaneously over each other. These text GIF files are animated GIFs and have transparent backgrounds. They are virtually the same size and have the same rate of animation.
I don't want to have to create a new GIF from scratch because the text GIFs I would like to combine and output as a single GIF are not plain text, but rather textured text.
Can GIF Animator combine multiple animated GIFs which have transparent backgrounds into one animated GIF or do I have to use a different program?
I want to display the final GIF on a web page.

You bet it can... very easily.
There is a consideration or two to note, however...
Number Of Frames - to make this the easiest, all animations should have the same number of frames. If not, then you will need to do some tweaking. If the first gif opened has more frames than the next two, you will have to manually add one or more of the objects from the last two gifs to the excess frames. If the first gif has fewer frames, GA 5 will automatically use objects from the first gif to fill out the newer frames.
Pixel Size - are they close to the same size? If not, more tweaking is required.
Open the first animation. If you have an idea as to how big you want the canvas to be for your new animation, now would be a good time to change the size. Feel free to make it bigger than you may need, as you can crop it down later.
Next: Make sure the first frame is selected. Next, click the "Add Image" button on the standard toolbar. Navigate to the second gif file, select it.
Before you add the third animation, you should first now position the second animation. All the objects for the second animation should be showing as selected in the Object Manager. Select the Pick Tool, and make sure the Attribute Toolbar has a checkmark in "Move Active Objects Only." In the Workspace, click and drag the second animation to where you want it to go.
Once you have it positioned nicely, use the "Synchronize" button.
On the dialog box that pops up, check only the following:
- Active Objects Only
- X offset, Y offset
- All frames
Then click OK
At this point, click on Frame 1 again. Then repeat the process from "Add Image."
That's about it!
