Hi all....I'm new to the forum and am requiring some help with Ulead CD and DVD Picture Show 4. I did a search before I posted this and couldn't find any other similar questions but please forgive me if it has been posted before.
I have managed to get all my slides in place and am attempting to adjust the audio - as in put in my own songs (Microsoft Wav files) etc - but for some reason whenever I open the Audio and Effect File the whole program closes down...just disapears from my screen. This usually happens within a few seconds but occassionaly it will allow me to perhaps slot a song in before closing down.
I have previously been using the number 3 versions of this program without the same problem. I have tried rebooting the computer and reinstalling (over the top of) the program.
Is this a common problem with this program? And if yes is there a patch available to help fix it?
I am using a Intel pentium 4 computer, 3.0GHz, 1G ram, 48.3 Gigs available space, nVidia Geforce video card if this helps?
Thank You
Bindii

Welcome Bindii,
Since I began monitoring this board (around 6 months ago) I don't recall anyone reporting a similar issue. I once had the exact same roblem with a (non-Ulead) video conversion program and it came down to corrupt registry entries. In the end I resolved it with a "clean install". That said, I'm sure there are a number of factors that could cause this unusual behaviour. If you'd like to try a clean install with PS4 let me know and I'll be happy to post the instructions. In the meantime I would recommend contacting Ulead tech-support.

Makes me wonder if they've released an updated version with a bug. If you click Help > About what version number does it show? Mine is 4.0.0.1fat freddy wrote:Hu Bindii,
I bought the german version of the software yesterday and encountered exactly the same problem!
I already reported it to the technical support and i will inform you about their reply!

I've got Picture Show 4 also, had it about two weeks, I've had the same problem. Sometimes it shuts down the program and goes back to my desktop, and once it rebooted my system, and it corrupted my file that I was working on and I had to redo the file all over again. Make sure you do a "save as" when you do your file just to make sure this doesn't happen to you, and make a backup. I was so upset, I worked on it for hours...... Sounds like the program uses a lot of memory.
