VideoStudio 9 - Picture breaking up on capture

Help - I think I have done something wrong - I connect to my new Sony camcorder via a USB 2 Connection and everything worked well, the picture quality displayed in the capture and edit screen was good, this was despite the recommendation I should have an IEEE1394 connection. Now when I tried to capture from the camcorder a tape that I have used before the picture is breaking up and a loud noise is being emitted from the loud speakers. The only thing I have done is try out VS 10 and that is when the problem started the picture captured using VS 10 was very bad, the picture was all in large squares and different colours. I have deleted VS 10 but to no avail. Any ideas as to what I have done will be greatly appreciated.

Problem solved, nothing to do with VS it was the camera driver that was at fault, once reinstalled everything OK.
