Hi
I Installed the UVS 10 trial version about 10 days ago. Everything was working fine until I received the following message today after I closed UVS 10:
"The Security information is invalid or has been modified, the program will be terminated"
I tried restarting UVS 10 and nothing happens. I competely uninstalled UVS 10 and then reinstalled it but I still can't get UVS 10 to start.
Any ideas? thanks in advance.
Bob
My system specs are as follows:
Dell 2.8GHZ Intel Processor
512MB RAM
Windows XP SP2 with all patches installed
2 120 Western Digital Hard Drives with 35GB free on one and 25GB on the other
NVidia GeForce FX 5200 graphics card
SB Live Sound Card
I have UVS 7, 8, and 9 installed on my machine with all working fine.

Hi Bob,
First I must say that I've never seen that error message or warning in any of Ulead's applications. Can you post the details of what you were doing prior to closing the program?
Also had you installed any other programs, or perhaps windows patches? When you tried to run it and reinstalled, did you do so from a profile that has Admin privileges?

In addition to what Ron requested above can you recall doing anything that would have affected the time/clock/calendar on your computer?
I think I recall one case where someone changed their computer's time/date setup and VS interpreted this as an attempt to bypass the "use by" date for a trial by tricking the program into getting confused about the date. It actually wasn't the poster's intention to do so but after that the poster could not use the trial program again.

Hi
I was in the middle of a project and from the Storyboard view I closed the program and that's when I got the error message. The project has 2 video files split into about 18 clips where I removed the ad's. I don't think the video files are damaged since the files were rendered by VS 10 (I filtered the original files). I had been using VS 10 for about 10 days opening, and closing the program dozens of times without a problem.
I did do a google search and found 1 other person with the same error message using the trial version of VS 6.

The last patch I did to Windows XP (KB911562) was on April 12th several days before I first installed VS 10. I do remember that a couple of days ago I did install a patch for Internet explorer. Also, I am getting that same error message whenever I start my computer.
I tried using System Restore to go back a couple of days when I knew VS 10 was working but it didn't work. I also have not changed the system clock.
I run my system with adminstative privileges since I am the only one that has access to my system and I am under a hardware firewall. After I competely uninstalled VS 10, the error message went away but now that I have reinstalled it I am getting the error message at statup again.
I was planning on buying VS 10 but I am hesitant in shelling out the $60 bucks for the upgarde. It is funny because I am running VS 7, 8, and 9 on my system without a problem. Maybe the problem is only related to the trial version and once I upgrade the problem will go away?
Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

Hi,
I have similar problem like bobcwilson. I have downloaded UVS 10 Trial version two days ago and today (the number of remaining days: 29) I get during my "evening testing" the following error message:
...I can not start my Studio again
I have bought UVS 4 and I was very funny with him (yes, it was some years ago). Now I was looking for new video editing/DVD authoring solution and I was very surprised with good design and features of UVS 10 (I have special requirements: the ability to make DVD with 704x576 res., support HuffYUV and excellent MPEG2 encoder - my camera is using Hi8
). So I want to buy UVS 10, but will full version work on my computer?
I have the follwing configuration:
I want to buy UVS 10, but I need to know, that full version will work fine
(BTW: I can not use anything other. Only UVS 10 support all features that I need)
