How to adjust the times of multiple images at once

Hello,

I am new to VideoStudio 10 -- trying it out before purchase. I am trying to find out if I am able to adjust the time on multiple images at once.

For instance: I want to be able to select five 4 second clips and stretch the time linearly so that the five clips cover at total of 25 seconds without adjusting each image seperately.

I have searched the docs and the net for an answer but haven't found one -- yet. Seems like such a basic feature, I hope I am not missing something really obvious.......

Hi Tom, welcome to the forums..

Unfortunately that is not possible in VS10 Plus or Video Studio 10. You will have to adjust each clip seperately.

However the easy way to do this, is go to File>Preferences ( or F6) and set the default duration for images to n secs. If you have 5 images and need them to display over a 25 sec time period then each one would be 5 secs. However bare in mind that if you place a 3 sec transition between each of the images, you will have to add time to the images. Transitions borrow time, for example 1 sec from each neighboring image/clip.

There is a way of changing the image duration whilst in the timeline.
Provided the images are adjacent to each other.

1 / Use Shift Click to select your images.
2 / Now select ‘Clip’ from the top menu.
3 / Select ‘Change image /colour duration.’
