VS 10 and menu templates

Post by stubenkastl »

VS 9 had nice templates for menus. VS10 comes almost without any. Is it possible to use the templates of VS 9 in VS10 and if how?

Does the bonus pack contain the templates of VS 9? Without them I rather stick to VS 9.

This is being dealt with in my Tutorial currently under development.
The tutorial is far from ready but does answer this particular point.

At the time of writing this reply it will be near the end of the point I have reached so far.

Not only will you find that you can move the templates from 9 to 10 as per Steves tutorial but you will find you can further customise those V9 templates by using the option in V10.

I have just added a further section to my "unfinished tutorial" that may be of interest.
If you have VS10 and also MF5 you can add an extra 4 smartscene menus to your collection.

I looked at your tutorial and have to say it is GREAT! I downloaded it for further use and want to thank you for it and the link to it.

In respect of VS 10 I gave up since it took very long until I got a response to my question. I looked at it and I do not really see an improvement for MY purpose. Often I make more complicated projects and I use then Sony Vegas and DVD Architect. But for quick projects VS 9 does a great job with little effort. VS10 cannot completely replace the Sony programs even if it does sometimes a better job.

Thank you again and please continue with the tutorial. Hope you got VS10 for free for this work!!!
