Hi
I am using PhotoImpact and am having problems with pasting.
When I copy an image and try and paste it into another image it loses all the quality.
If I copy & paste as a new image it works fine.
So it must be something to do with pasting one image into another.
I am trying to make a wooden frame effect for pictures that I have taken. So I am reducing the size from 3000x3000 down to 300 pixels.
It's doing my head in. There must be something that Photoimpact changes when pasting into a selection or as an object but I cannot seem to work out why it is losing the quality.
Any ideas appreciated?
Phil
Problems with image quality in Photo Impact
Interesting... my first guess would be that you have saved your frame as a .gif and are pasting a .jpg into the .gif frame which would most definitely change the quality as the pasted image would take on the characteristics of the base image. Could that be what you are doing? You need to make sure that both images are RGB 24bit color to maintain the higher quality.
I'm not sure why you copy and paste the image. Why not just open the photo, right-click, convert to object, then drag it into the frame? You can resize as needed using the resize options.
