Happy with VS10plus but one small problem

Overall I am very happy with VS10 and my project is coming along quite nicely. One problem I noticed is if I go to the capture pane and click on capture video It will pick up the plextor box and act as if it is ready to capture.(Flashing Icon) But if I click on options and then video and audio capture properties there is a button on that dialog window that says Advanced. And wow if you click on that button the Ulead Vs 10 closes faster than the blink of an eye. I have tried it a couple of times each time same thing. This is with an Amd 2400+ 512 megs ram and win 2k and a Jadon vid card but using plextor 402 capture box. I was going to try capturing with vs10 but will go back to using Intervideo which seems to do the job for what I need.

There was a problem with VS 9 crashing whilst selecting capture relating to the Windows Installer, this seemed to affect Win 2k.
I haven’t heard of a similar VS 10 problem. But I would assume a software conflict.

Do a search on the forum for Windows Installer.

Hmmmm, now that you mention that Trevor I did also have a problem when I went to install Cheetah burner program after Vs10 . Everytime I tried to run Cheetah some window installer box would pop up saying it was trying to install smart sounds or smart traxs?? and it would go into a loop and I would have to use ctl alt del. But I am happy as everything is working great and I am learning how to use the software and that is a big key. When you don't know what you are doing there are lots of little things that throw you. Thanks to this board I am getting there.
