USING "TITLES"
I have just installed version 10 plus and finding it very useful. But am I being particularly stupid, or is there a way to use the "Titles" facility at the end of the movie to get a "rolling credits" effect as in the real thing?

As far as I can see, it is identical to the method used in VS9 and previous versions -- only the new layout of VS10's desktop might cause momentary confusion. Anyway, you insert a colour panel at the very end of your videos in the timeline if you don't want the title rolling over your video itself. Then you click on Title, type in your credits in the dotted box which appears on screen; then move that box to where you want it on screen. Then, if you have the desktop set up in the default position (new tab in File > Preferences > UI Layout with 4 choices), you choose Animation which should appear about half way down the right hand side of screen, beside an Edit tab which allows you to change the layout of your Title. And of course the Animation tab allows you to choose various types of movement for your title, including, Fly, which is the one you want. Choose from among the pre-sets which appear.

I see you have Windows XP therefore you have Windows Movie maker which installs automatically with XP.
You can create your scrolling end credits using windows Movie Maker and export the titles as an AVI/MPEG file then import that into videostudio.
Windows Movie Maker also creates a nice solid background colour so it is then quite easy to use the overlay/chroma screen functions to have your scrolling end credits appear on top of your video should you wish to do so.
Use whatever tools you have available.
