I’ve been a faithful for VS for over 2 yrs and loved the software of VS8 & VS.
I’ve started to use the VS10+ trial version today and nothing but problems.
Ø Once VS10 opens, I click on 16.9, VS Editor
Ø Set Project Setting as:
1. NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps)
2. MPEG files
3. 24 bits, 720 x 480, 29.97 fps
4. Lower Field First
5. (DVD-NTSC), 16:9
6. Video data rate: Variable (Max. 8000 kbps)
7. Audio data rate: 384 kbps
8. Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 3/2(L,C,R,SL,SR)
Ø I then take video from the library into the timeline
Ø Use 5.1 Surround Sound for project
Ø Project less then 2 mins (testing purposes)
Ø I then create video file, same as project settings
Ø Project Does its rendering
Ø Save & close file, create new empty project.
Ø Create Disk, add video file
Ø Add chapters, etc….
Ø Before burning, I click on “cog wheel”
Ø Change Settings To:
Ø MPEG files
Ø 24 bits, 720 x 480, 29.97 fps
Ø Lower Field First
Ø (DVD-NTSC), 16:9
Ø Video data rate: Variable (Max. 8000 kbps)
Ø Audio data rate: 384 kbps
Ø Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 3/2(L,C,R,SL,SR)
Display Aspec (both checked)
Ø Do Not convert compliant MPEG file
Ø Treat MPEG audio as non DVD compliant
Once disk (DVD –RW) is in, I get this error message: “CONVERT STEP HAS SOME PROBLEMS”
I’m at a lost, I hope some here has an answer.
Thanks for reading through all of this……….
