How to use moving menu properly???

Post by url »

i have been doing well with my capturing video with my wintv pvr usb2, however when I create my Menus I don't know what I am doing.
I have the (probably default cats curled up and in the right hand side top corner a blue rectangular box which has my menu in it) I usually want to use just the beginning of the video, nothing ornate or fancy, however like the moving menu with the autumn leaves falling which is probably the default.
However I am getting the cats curled up and the Menu and the falling leaves. ( I want to change this )

Its kinda funny, and my dog who lays in front of the TV and is so used to me fiddling around with something on the TV starts Barking at the sight of the cats.

Does anyone know where there is a place for me to view regarding how to set up a moving menu???
And also get something else besides cats???

Or can I actually have nothing, just the Menu and the falling leaves which I kinda would like to have.
Sorry if this sounds silly, however I am a noob at using this Movie Factory 4, except for my inability to use this option Movie Factory 4 is doing an excellent job for me.
I look forward to comments, thankyou!!

Hi I am resurrecting this post as I did not receive replies and would like to better understand the moving menu aspect of the Ulead Movie Factroy 4. I have been using the falling autumn leaves and quite like the effect, however I get these cats in the title version in the square boxes and really don't want them there.
I have been looking for a tutorial on using thes options on Google as I really like my Hauppauge unit and would like to be able to produce a nice captured video copy dvd without these silly cats.
My whole family know as a result of growing up on a ranch that cats are the furthes thing from my heart, dogs are the exact opposite and thus I want to rid of them and have the moving menu of the the leaves.

I am working on Christmas present DVD's right now and so I really would appreciate some help on this matter.

So I am asking again.

I hope that some member uses this Option and can offer advice or point me to a tutorial so I can use it properly as it is really quite impressive without the cats rolled up in a ball.

I am looking forward to favorable advice, thankyou

i have looked in the Tutorial section on Movie Factory and don't see any discussion on Moving Menu, as I mentioned for some reason in the last video I captured on my hauppauge wintv pvr usb2 I got some very pleasant effects of autumn falling leaves which were impressive. The box for "moving menu" was checked off so I still don't know if this was a default or how I got this nice effect as it has not occurred on other video captures at the beginning.
And it is definitely not part of my VHS that I am capturing.
What I really want to learn about is how to set up Menus properly so that I don't get square boxes with the date and cats....in my case as the intro to my dvd.
I want my dvd to look more polished than with the cats in the squares and the date of my video capturing on the screen.
Does anyone know where this topic is covered?
I would appreciate all comments, thankyou.

As well is this the only forum on Movie Factory? I have Googled and can't find anything else.
Regards
