I've just downloaded the trial version of VS 10, with great hopes/expectations of the 5.1 surround mixer. However, I can't figure out how to actually pan sound.
I select the track, choose a point and set the surround mixer as desired, I then move to another poiunt on the track and set the mixer to a new setting. When I go back the positional information doesn't seem to have been saved.
Any ideas?

surround sound
I have had the same problems. I have noticed, though, that when you make the changes while the sound is playing several little boxes are created on the audio display. These can be dragged to different positions after the fact, which helps a little.

Don't waste your time with the trial version with surrend sound. It won't burn in Dobly Digital until you upgrade to the full version.ss_lbs wrote:I've just downloaded the trial version of VS 10, with great hopes/expectations of the 5.1 surround mixer. I know from experience that I wasted 3+ hrs trying to get 5.1 sound in the trial version.
