I have exported a HDV project from Premiere Pro into an avi file. It plays correctly in Windows Media Player, for example. It is 16:9 1440x1080 and uses my Cineform HD codec.
I create a new 16:9 NTSC project in DMF 5, and add this avi file as the only asset. DMF5 treats it as 4:3 material, e.g. displays the video with left and right pillar boxes, and on top and bottom too, just like an old fashioned letterboxed 16:9 video. The audio and video is being rendered correctly, but it is not "filling" the whole 16:9 screen.
I think this is a bug in DMF5. Or are they some settings which I don't have right on the export file or in my project?
16:9 avi file handled as 4:3 by mistake
