I've download the "Plus" package but haven't installed it yet. The VideoStudio installer was 135mb (as Steve mentioned), then the "content" download tipped the scales at 297mb PLUS "Bonus Feature 1" @ 128mb and "Bonus Feature 2" @ 78mb. I'm not even sure what these Bonus Features are yet... LOL! In any case, the total DL was a whopping 638mb! Yikes ;-)

Just a note of caution with download versions.

Many Ulead users had issues with previous download versions. To many headaches to deal with. Better to wait for box version and pay a little more...

My 2 cents
iMac AIO (late 2012)
Windows 7 (bootcamp)
VS Pro X3
8gb RAM
1 - 1TB HD
1 - 120 SSD
1 - 2TB External HD
Panasonic DVC-30

Or... if you cant wait but still want a boxed version when you purchase the download version you can order the backup CD

Backup CD =
£6.01 GBP
€8.68 Euro
$9.99 USD

There is also a bundle deal
Bundle: VideoStudio 10 Plus + PhotoImpact 11 (Full/Download) - English (#300067825)
Why don't you purchase Bundle: VideoStudio 10 Plus + PhotoImpact 11 (Full/Download) - English instead of the original product? Get Ulead's best-selling VideoStudio 10 Plus & PhotoImpact 11 in one package and fulfill at once all your needs in photo and video editing. With the package, you can improve your video with PhotoImpact and create impressive DVD photo slideshows in VideoStudio. You save $59.99 instantly!

Your price: USD 129.99
Here you have the option to order 1 or both back up CD's both are the same prices as above.
In other words you could order just the VS10 back up CD £6.01 GBP
or just the Photo Impact back up CD £6.01 GBP
or order both £12.02 GBP

Your comment is well taken but (at least in my case) the download versions of Ulead's most recent products (VS10 Plus & MF5) have been flawless. I have to say VS10 Plus is pretty amazing. Between it's long list of new features and streamlined/faster UI (versus VS9) I finally saw my way clear to get rid of Pinnacle Studio 9 once and for all. I had been using both VS9 and Pinnacle for the last year or so but was never too thrilled about having both installed on the same PC.

Re "Bonus Features 1 & 2", in addition to Cool3D and WinDVD Player, there are also a number of video clips, audio effects, music clips, backgrounds, decorations, etc., that can be extracted and stored within the VS10 program directory or elsewhere.

That's gotta be frustrating! But assuming all goes well with the download I think you'll soon be a happy camper ;-)

Thanks for the information.......I'll wait an additional week for the box version & manual. I'm a little behind the times, I still have a dial up connection.

And as michealtee mentioned: Re "Bonus Features 1 & 2", in addition to Cool3D and WinDVD Player, there are also a number of video clips, audio effects, music clips, backgrounds, decorations, etc., that can be extracted and stored within the VS10 program directory or elsewhere.

The added video clips etc will be interesting to see what they are.

Re the download version I should also mention that your "Bonus Features 1 & 2" are delivered in two compressed RAR packages. If need be, you can use a free program like 7-Zip < http://www.7-zip.org/ > to extract the files. Once extracted, the extra content items are in folders so you just copy them to your desktop and store them wherever you want. Just to clarify, this Bonus Feature content is not to be confused with the primary Extra Content package which is a seperate download and IS an executable file. Cool3D and WinDVD Player are also executables but they must first be extracted from the RAR package in order to install. It might be a different story with the forthcoming CD-ROM version and I imagine there might be other ways to go about extracting/installing the Bonus Features depending on what sort of RAR utility you have.
