I'm trying to transfer home movies from a Sony camera to DVD using MovieFactory 5. I can capture the tape information but when I go to burn it to a DVD only the Burning Options icon is available. The DVD format and Burn icons are greyed out. MovieFactory sees my DVD drive (in my HP Windows computer) when I start the process. Suggestions?

How are you connecting the camcorder to the computer - our recommended method is by way of an IEEE1394 (Firewire / i-Link) Cable and not USB2.
What format are you capturing to? Our recommended format is DV type 1 and not to MPEG2 or some other format.
You then should be creating a DVD Menu Structure with DVD MF's create disc. Which will eventually lead you to a screen where you burn your DVD.
You can burn directly to DVD disc, though I prefer to burn to a Hard Drive folder. This enables me to double check everything is the way I want it by viewing the completed DVD on the computer rather than wasting a disc.
